excellent piece of equipment
Just bought the bt130 about 1 month ago. I absolutely love it. I am 53, female, with a bad back. I have an acre yard with over 100 oak trees. The leaves are a real pain. This little machine makes the work so much easier. I didn't do anything with my leaves this year until I got my new backpack BT130, I could hardly believe the ease of this little machine. I even let my next door neighbors son who is only 9 use it. He wanted one for his birthday. The only complaint I have is, they could include a narrower nozzle for the end of the blowing tube.
I could not believe the blowing power. It moves large amount of leaves, wet or dry. It even blows all of my little bitty acorns along with the leaves.
I have already recommended this to several other people.

Bought it used off Craigslist for $60
Like the title says bought it used. I am impressed. Much easier than my hand held blower. Comfortable and light. Plenty of power for what I need. The seller said it was 3 yrs old. I use premium gas with synthetic oil. I also use Lucas ethanol treatment.

Good until quit working
I thought that this blower was a good value until it quit working after owning about a year. By the time I got around to calling Lowes about it, I had just passed the 1 year warranty period. Then I found out that it didn't matter because the carburetor is not covered past 90 days! I have learned that ethanol is terrible for small engines and one dealer said that if you use ethanol blend gas (which almost all gas stations sell#, then you will have to replace the carburetor every year #potentially#! This should be made more clear. At over $100 for the carburetor #plus labor to install), my value just dropped considerably. These should be made to handle ethanol blend gas or clearly marked "DO NOT USE ETHANOL BLEND GAS". I hope those that read this do not make the same costly mistake.

I recently purchased a new BT130 backpack blower. After one use the unit was in the shop because it would not start. I brought it to an authorized repair shop. A couple of days later they said you needed a new spark plug. Really? After one use. They said it was not a part that was under warranty and $45.00 later I have my once used blower back.

3 years of ownership spends more time in the shop then I do using it
I have purchased all Husqvarna power equipment since I can remember. This is by far the most disappointing experience I've had thus far. This blower has been in the shop to correct several tuning issues. I run the exact same fuel in all my small power equipment yet this is the only piece suffering from mechanical issues. After 3 years of ownership I have more money in maintenance than the blower is worth and was just told that it needs a entirely new carburetor. Very disappointing to have this many issues when I've spent several thousands of dollars on Husqvarna equipment.

130BT Backpack Blower Review
I purchased this blower 3 years ago when I purchased my new home on 3 wooded acres. I was very impressed with the power of this blower in such a small package.
I used it for the fall and the spring of the first year before I realized i had not purchased a large enough model. My land and trees were just too much for this little guy. This is by no means a reflection on this blowers ability to do its job, it works great. I upgraded to the 580BTS (Tim the Toolman Laugh) I gave this blower to my father for his smaller less wooded land and he loves it! Lightweight and easy to start.

Light weight, easy to use
My main reason for buying this blower was weight, because I have back problems. Some reviews have said it was not powerful enough, but it works fine for me. My only complaint is it has no small or flat tip. This is mentioned in literature, but I cannot find a source for one.
