Why did I not buy this sooner?
After 10 years using my old basic backpack blower purchased from a big box store, I decided to go ahead and invest in the 580BTS in spite of the plus $500 price tag. It took all of the first pull of the trigger to realize this is a serious commercial quality machine. I always thought is was air speed that mattered. My previous model boasted plus 200 MPH air speed and I thought that was terrific. I now realize it's CFM or how much cubic feet per minute of air the machine moves out the tube. At plus 900 CFM this machine is so powerful the pressure it creates when you pull the trigger literally pushes your arm backwards and you find yourself pushing it forward again to keep it lined up with whatever you are blowing. This is not a bad thing as you quickly realize just how much force the air pressure coming out the tube has and how much material it is going to move. It is not feather lite nor as easy to get on or off your shoulders as the smaller machines less powerful machines, but these are small matters and well worth the compromise of having this kind of beast. I also like the fact the gas tank lid is on top rather than at an angle like some machines as you'll spill less gas filling it up. Plus it holds a heck of a lot of gas. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and can attest this is a machine you will want if you are in need of a serious backpack blower.

So far have only used it to blow snow. Works very good if it's dry. Can't wait to use this monster on leaves and grass clippings. Very comfortable for me but might be a bit heavy for someone with a small frame. This thing really "blows"

BLOWS away competition!
Have used Husqvarna hand held blower for some while now, was blown away at the power the 580 has. Had no idea it would have that much power. Have couple acre area on farm where we have camping and cookout area. Lots of trees, and billions of leaves. No trouble for the 580 to move em out, it takes small limbs and rocks also. Very happy with another Husqvarna purchase. My only complaint is it is so hard to get on and reach around to get buckles straight and all hooked up, I have to set it up on tailgate or fender or I just keep turning and turning to get both arms in. Still its worth the time.

#1 Backpack blower on the market
After always purchasing the Stihl BR600 Magnums I decided to take a chance on the 580BTS. All I can say is WOW. The controls and performance of this machine are far better than other similar models on the market - and the support straps make all the different. The only downfall I have is it is a littler bit heavier than other brands with the same amount of power, but like I said the straps make all the difference when it comes to supporting the weight.

Awesome power moves a lot of leaves in little time. Blows wet leaves right off ground. I've only used a couple tanks of gas so far with no problems. Little heavy but with the wide shoulder straps and the belts in front it is comfortable. End oof blower tube comes of while using gonadotropin have to tape or screw on but not really a big deal.Easy starting.

Only has 3 bad features
#1 It's thirsty-boy,does it eat fuel
#2 A little heavy on the back
#3 A little loud-ear protection recommended
Aside from these issues, it's a real commercial blowin machine. Hope it holds up mechanicaly.
