Just what one would expect from Husqvarna :) Have used my Husqvarna Blower/Vac many times ~ easy to start each and every time. Powerful enough to move and pile-up the leaves and trash wherever I choose ~ then connect the Vac & Bag accessory and it very quickly picks-up and mulches the pile down to nothing. It's so cool, just unzip the bag into my garbage cans and I'm done in no time. My only regret is that I shoulda bought one years ago. Thanks Husqvarna :) February 24, 2012
Very Powerful As expected with any Husqvarna Product, this blower exceeded all expectations. It delivers remarkable performance in a lightweight hand-held unit. The throttle control has a lock which helps eliminate the fatigue found with holding the throttle open. Grass clipping, leaves, and pine needles are all easily blown. Fuel cap is large and easy to fill with the unit sitting level. Both the open and flared tube ends work great depending on the conditions. No one will regret buying this unit. Simply read and follow the included maintenance instructions, and the unit will last a long time. December 11, 2014
Here's A Better Way To Assemble The Vacuum Accessory Here's a better way to assemble the vacuum accessory: Referring to the steps shown in "Quick-Start Guide", for step 3 don't mate lower and upper vac tubes now, but just lubricate the end of lower vac tube which will be inserted into the inlet port. Do step 5 as described in the guide but now with just the lower vac tube present it is easier to twist it into the lock position because not having the upper tube there allows you to encircle the lower tube with your body and arms to achieve greater control (by pressing down the tube into port opening) and twisting force, plus you can place your feet around the blower body so that it doesn't turn in opposite direction while you're turning the lower vac tube to the lock position. The next thing to do is mate the upper vac tube to lower vac tube (some lubricant applied to the mating surfaces makes it easy to "seat" the upper tube inside the lower tube, then secure with the supplied screw. Works pretty much as expected. First off, I'm actually quite satisfied with the product. It is pretty much what I expected, I don't thinks other brands would have been any better. However I'm going to talk about the negatives only for the most part. This is the first yard blower or yard vacuum I've ever had any experience with. Rakes and brooms are much quieter. Wife has been after me to get a yard blower for quite a while. She usually sweeps the sidewalks after I mow, or begins the raking of leaves as they annoy her quicker than they do me. She suggested the Husqvarna 125BVx recently and it appealed to me as it also mulched and vacuumed. The assembly was fairly straight forward. I'm a little doubtful about how long the vacuum tube will last where it attaches to the housing. But maybe it will last. Also concerning the attachment of the vacuum tube is the difficulty of opening the fan guard. You really have to pry with a screwdriver to open it, almost to the point you feel you'll break it. The vacuum tube has ridges molded into it that caught some of the small oak boughs I vacuumed up. A smoother tube inside would elimiate that issue I'd think. The clogged tube necessitated stopping then removing the vacuum tube and trying to remember to put something in the way of the fan guard to keep it from snapping shut, which in turn would require a screwdriver to pry it open again. I think Husqvarna could engineer something better, easier and just as safe. It's such a hassle the way it is, I'd think many will break the latch or otherwise disable the safety guard causing Husqvarna more liability. Another issue I had was the vacuum bag. There is no re-inforcement around the outlet of the tube that it fits over. Five hours of vacuum operation managed to wear a dime size hole in the bag material about an inch past the outlet tube. Some woven nylon re-enforcement material would have been nice up there. However all in all, I'm happy with it. It ground up all the oak leaves in my yard quite nicely and left me with some nice material to add to the compost pile. It did well with the little bit of pine straw that is mixed in with some of my leaves, however I did not try it on the section of the yard that is almost exclusively pine straw. You do have to realize that this is handheld. So I can't say that I like it any better than a rake. But it is superior for getting street gutters cleaned up and sucking up small things like acorns and litter squirrels make when eating pine cones. November 30, 2014
Great Homeowner's Helper My wife purchased the 125BVx to replace another brand of blower. I am glad she did. I had just about worked my way into regular Chiropractic appointments just trying to start the other one and keep it running. This blower/vac seems to be the REAL DEAL. Other than a little difficulty in changing-out from blower to vac, I have so far, been impressed by this "Husky". I figure the more I become familiar with it, the easier the changeover will be. As far as starting-up running, it starts smoothly and quickly and runs smoothly. Almost makes you WISH you had more yard work to do just so that you could use it longer! ;-) November 9, 2014
Cloggs easily I just fired the unit up and started to use it in the vacuum mode. It clogged after only 5 bags of leaves. The problem is that I need to remove the vacuum tubes from the housing to clean out the tubes but it will not come off. It appears the 4 slots and tabs will not release. Any ideas would be wonderful! Does even heavy jobs Lets start with a short review: I am using a Black & Decker blower/vac since years. This is electrical and does a good job. But the limit is the power supply. So I was considering to extend our equipment with a new blower/vac. I have looked into the MacCulloch GBV 345 even made by Husqvarna and some others. It became the Husqvarna. Why? - Engine 28 ccm (McCulloch 24) - Easy start (Mcculloch none) - Husqvarna is for the heavy job - Dealership in the neighbourhood (spares) The unit starts really quick due the the easy start function. Some compression is taken off letting the engine run easier. Conversion from Blow to Vac is simple and just requires some simple steps, however I am just using it for dry leaves to avoid clogging. Good is the second handle at the bottom, this make menoevering easy as vac. When using it as handheld blower its well balanced and the torque applied to the wrist is small ((The B&D gives a higher one). I am operating it from the hand, my wife prefers the shoulder strip. The engine is not very loud, surprisingly, only 70 dbA. The B&D is 107! However I operate it with a hearing protection. Larger areas are quuickly cleaned and in most cases I do not even have to refill the tank. Its very economic. When lower blowing power is needed, I use the gauge at the handle to trigger the speed. Works very nice. Even in cold conditions when I am blowing snow, it starts easy. Engine runs somewhat hard for some seconds and runs smooth then. In any case I opereate the high speed nozzle. Without that blowing is too slow. So attaching this is a must. Allover I am very pleased with the unit and even my wife runs the unit. I am just stating the engine for her. November 4, 2014
Hand Held Blower 125BVx I just purchased a few weeks ago and have used it about three times. Very easy to start and with molded fixture on tube has great power for moving debris from your sidewalks and driveways. This is the best blower I've ever used, even puts backpack blowers to shame with the power emitted from this light little blower. Very happy with purchase just wish it would be a bit cheaper. Although, as the saying goes you get what you pay for. October 27, 2014
