Great buy...
Purchased this tractor reluctantly because I really wanted a John Deere; however, Consumer Report ranked this brand just shy of the John Deere brand for overall ratings and the product that I purchased was on sale. I have put about 12 hrs on the unit so far and it has performed wonderfully. It runs great and has displayed enough power to get the job done even in tough / wet grass. My wife even handled the driving while I was doing landscaping recently. Overall.... I'm pretty well satisfied w/ the purchase!

2nd shot
after having had and blowing the motor (unknown as to why it blew) we got this larger model. It was a different motor manufacturer. After having it for 2 months the first mandrel broke. We are waiting for the others to follow suit because they all broke in the first 1 1/2 years on the first one. We figured it was because we were kind of hard on it mowing un established lawn ( a field) and hitting rocks. Now I just believe its because they use garbage for their cast aluminum. And know that I think about it, the hole in the engine came thru the cast too. I'm done with their mowers.

COULD I BE HAPPIER... BARELY!
I just bought this beautiful machine about a month ago. I've used it less than a handful of times so far but I am very, very pleased with it so far. It took mowing my lawn from between four and five hours to less than an hour! It's a day saver! You now have a Saturday afternoon or a Sunday afternoon back!
It's definitely a bit scary laying down that much money for any purchase but after I started it up and took it for a spin, it paid itself off before I finished the backyard!
My only question probably has more to do with my knowledge of how a Lawn Tractor works over the quality of my Husqvarna. My mower seems to have a bit of an electric wine sound when I have my foot on the accelerator. Are Husqvarna Lawn Tractors electric when it comes to getting from point A to point B? Obviously the mower itself is a 23 HP Briggs & Straton engine. My only concern would be that that wine I mentioned isn't supposed to be happening. A point of research for myself or for a Husqvarna Representative to get back to me about after reading this.
Overall, I love this piece of equipment. I love it more than my car. My favourite thing I own!
Too bad the snowblower attachment is to expensive too! It's almost the cost of the lawn tractor!

Great mower for the price
Perfect for up to 2 acres. I bought the tractor 3 weeks later the drive belt spring broke. I went back to where I bought it and the spring was shipped directly to my house. I was happy with the response. I like the husqavarna brand it is reliable and dependable. I also have a self propeled 6V that I couldn't be happier with. This tractor has the best cut I have ever seen with the 3 blade system. I would buy another the next time I want a lawn tractor.

Pleased with our mower!
We've been using this mower for a couple of months now; bought it at the beginning of summer. Have a huge lawn with field-like grass (about 2 acres). Terrain is a bit bumpy due to being a hay field three years ago and we have a fairly steep little hill in the back. This mower handles it all like nobody's business - able to cut all of the yard front and back within two hours, mowing around several trees and a swingset. We typically use the 2.5" setting just because our grass grows so fast and we only mow once a week, but it handles it very well. Typically we have a lot of clippings and sometimes they are a bit clumpy, but I just set the deck up to 3" and pass over it and the lawn looks great. Handles beautifully and we love the reverse-mowing feature and the deck-port washout. Love this mower!

yth23v48 best lawn more for the money!
first thing I noticed was the comfort of the seating and how everything is in reach where it needs to be. The hood is metal unlike a other so called brand that uses a plastic hood. Briggs motor is very easy to start and quite operation. Turning radius is great. Mower is put together very well, no wires all over the place. The deck cutting system does not leave grass laying around after you cut. gets the job done with ease! Awesome saftey feature that only allows the mower to cut in reverse with the key in the reverse mow position. I can go on and on about all the great things about it. Nothing bad to say about it...
great product

Nice looking mower!
This mower has the power and speed to get the lawn cut in half the time. It is very nice looking and although I bought this in January I have only used it three times. I purchased this mower from Sear's and they gave me no input in how to operate the mower or how to service it. The only problem that I have had is that it is hard to start and sometimes I have to jump the battery.

Not what I was hoping for
Bought my YT2348 on 4/25/11. I have 14.1 hours on it and it has been in the shop since 6/19/11 waiting on parts. I have about 4 acres of rolling yard to cut. The mower is powerful enough and it cuts right thru the toughest grass. It does spin the rear wheels a lot so I think the 10" wide rear tires would be better for traction. I have purchased two 10" rear tires but the thing broke before I could put them on.
The deck broke loose from the support bracket and the only thing holding up the deck were the gage wheels. The sway rod pulled out because the deck was loose and is bent nearly double. Upon close inspection I observed that the welding of the support bracket to the deck was incomplete. There was not any penetration into the deck steel. Poor quality for something made in the USA. The deck height numbers also washed off when I accidently spilled fuel during refill of the tank. With the numbers in such close proximity to the tank refill location they should be fuel proof.
Not much better qwuality than some of the MTD brands. If I could get my money back I would buy a John Dere.
