My FT900
Only had this tiller a mont or so and have used it 3 times to till up my old garden spot and a new ne. Cranked on the first pull and runs good. Well made as far as I can tell. It has plenty of power to do the job. As you would expect this type of tiller will give you a workout controlling it but I have always used this type of tiller. Very happy with it so far.

The Perfect Tiller
I received this tiller as a birthday gift, just in time for fall garden work. Previously, I have paid to have my vegetable garden beds plowed with a small tractor spring and fall. My Husqvarna FT900 made short work of all the garden beds, approximately 1000 sq ft, and I enlarged the garden by adding another 200 sq ft of beds. The whole job got done so fast, I hardly felt I had done any work! The machine was a pleasure to handle, turning the earth easily. It did a great job breaking up the grass on the new bed. After the initial tilling, I added composted material and leaf mold, and went over everything again to work it in. The roar of the engine attracted my neighbor, who was raring to have a go at it - I had some difficulty persuading him to hand it over to me again!
While the tiller's pricetag seemed steep to me initially, this machine will pay for itself in 3 seasons, without even considering the time and effort I will save by using it to cultivate between rows.
In summary, a great time was had by all, and my garden beds are all ready for a long winter's sleep. Thanks, Husqvarna.

Rearranging rocks
I purchased this tiller for my home in the High Peaks area of the Adirondacks in upstate NY. For those not familiar with the geography lets just say anything you do to disturb the ground surface means you are really just rearranging rocks. Small, large and all between. I was amazed at how deftly the tiller bounces to inform you of a rock and if it can't muscle it out, hops right over. Very sturdy. The reverse is a huge help. If it would only chomp the turf a little finer it would be 100%.

Just right for me
Have a new garden that was turned over by hand once last year. Decided that I needed a tiller and settled on this unit. Best decision I ever made. Started on the 2nd pull, and worked like a football full back. Deep tilling (in a clay type soil), never slowed down. Turned the soil up great. I'm looking forward to spring and getting the garden in great shape for planting and maintaining. For my use I don't think this unit can be beat. This is my first tiller and the only way this product could be better is if you provided an operator.
Oh, shipping pallet is poorly constructed but all was well.

This tiller is a work horse.
The tiller did a great job in rather rocky soil. The only negatives are it bounced around a good bit when it hit a rock and it is a bit hard to hold down clutch when working on a slope. The reverse clutch is very handy. Over all the tiller did a great job and was easy to use after all the stones were dug up and removed.

I love Husqvarna equipment
Seemed like a nice tiller, but, the transmission leaked on both units.
I brought the first FT 900 home and sat it in the garage, never saw dirt. I was surprised to see a big red spot under the transmission. I called the Husqvarna dealer I purchased from and he said to bring it back. So I exchanged it for another tiller same model the FT 900. When I finally had a break in the weather, I went to get the tiller, and this replacement had the same problem (maybe a little worse).
If you placed your hand on the bottom of the transmission you would come up with quit a bit of red fluid on your hand. Same thing as the first unit I exchanged. Remember this is a sealed unit with no way to check/add fluid.
Since I have not read that anyone else has had this problem. I might have had a couple bad FT 900 tillers. I was afraid the more you run it the more it would leak. So I got a refund. I never got to run either unit in dirt!!

A work horse!
I purchased my FT900 about 3 weeks ago but it wasn't until this past weekend that I had space in my garden to try it. It
was quite a test! We have a very heavy hard clay/gumbo soil and it was hard packed from a lack of rain this summer and people walking in the garden. This tiller was pulling up chunks of clay about the size of a head of lettuce. The second time around with the tiller, it was all broken down where it would be suitable for planting. I absolutely love this tiller. It is extremely easy to start, tills deep and the reverse function saves my back!

Turnin some soil
When putting a new garden or freshening up an old one this is the tool you want. Easy to start everytime. The controls on the handles make it easy to engage and disengage as needed for turning around or getting backed out of that massive root system from a tree you didn't went that far. Switching out from 4 tine to 2 tine was a breeze as well with the easy clips and pins. The single neck bar makes easy to get ahold of if you are picking it up and putting it in the truck to go someone else also, not like the other brands where they have 2 bars and make picking them awkard. The single neck makes easy of control when turning it around also because you don't get the flew on the hanldes like with a 2 bar. The thick tines almost showed no wear after a whole summer, like my last one where they had to be bent back into shape before each use. Lastly, this thing powers through the toughest of soils too with no bogging down of the engine.
