Complete Package This is the most complete mower on the planet. It is very heavily built. The second speed pedal is easy......just push it when you want to go faster. This option made it very easy and fast to go from one lot to the next in neighborhoods where I mow multiple yards. It has enormous cast iron spindles instead of cheaper aluminum towers. I can really tell that a lot of time was spent designing the mower from the deck to the operator position. No wet grass gets stuck in the deck. I mowed hills with it that I had always had to use my walk behinds on before. What a time saver. Husqvarna has something special here and has really opened my eyes up to the rest of what they have to offer. January 10, 2012
Excellent Mower! Absolutely the best mower on the market now! The new deck cuts anything and wont clump even wet grass! Very comfortable operator platform and seat with all controls in very easy reaching distance! Perfect engine power size..no need really for striper kit as it stripes really nice straight from factory. Its a lot of fun mowing with this machine now, doesnt even seem like work more like play! Thanks Husqvarna for continuing to make the best products out there! July 25, 2011
It's about time some real thought went into designing a mower from the ground up!!! Having been in the Landscape Business science 1970 we have seen it all. The last few years everyone seems to have been just copying everyone else. We have run JD, Dixie's, Hustlers, Toro's, Grasshoppers and Scags, But, this new mower "Hands Down" is the best mower we have ever used PERIOD!!! The thought that went into this machine to make it the most user friendly machine is incredible. From the removable Hydro's that come out has a whole unit if you should ever have to service it with the quick removal of a couple of bolts that will get you right back in the action. The super sized spindles. The xtra-heavy deck, the cut from it is the best that we have ever experienced . The hydraulic lines with full S.S. tubes not hoses like everyone else. The floating riders platform along with the suspension seat. Unobstructed grease points. The large fuel tanks for long days in the fields. The smooth ride over very bumpy terrane was a great surprise, you will get more production done if your employees are happy in the saddle. From the frame to the use of the 34Hp Kawasaki work horse engine shows quality. The welds on the machine are done perfect and don't show the poor quality as on the Dixie's. Comparing this machine to the big players in this field like Hustler, Toro, JD and Scag is a loosing battle for them. Scag's 2 speed machine is much more expensive and you will be sure to note that the paint on it will fade and get chalky in just 1 season of use. Me, I like my equipment to look great for my customers and the pride I take in keeping it in top notch service. The price on this mower is FANTASTIC! We chose these 2 speed machines for 5 reasons and everything else that came with it was all just a BIG BONUS. 1) The bigger wheel motors, pumps and spindles. 2) The Scags 2 speed machine lets the operator cut grass while in the 2nd gear. At the speed these 2 speed machines travel thats the last thing I need to worry about. 2nd gear on the Husqvarna is for transport only! 3) We service large homeowner associations in South Florida of up to 500 homes each and the Techs have to go from point A to point B as quick as possible all the while keeping safety in check. 4) The discharge chute is much wider than the ones on the JD's and Toro's, thus, saving us much needed time on having to use the blowers to clean off the screen enclosures high up on patios and pools. By spreading the discharge area over a wider and lower point on the ground keeps money in my pocket. 5) The WARRANTY!! Like I said, Husqvarna has become a big player with the redesign of there Z-Mowers and it will be our mower of choice from now on. I still can't believe the price point of this mower with all these features. One more thing. The OCDC that Husqvarna developed for the new Z-Mowers works with the side chute still in place! That is nothing but safety. Husqvarna, "You Guys Rock" for thinking outside the box and bringing us what we truly need!!! The only thing we added to the machines are shut of valves for each gas tank so they will only drain from one tank at a time and not suck air when on hills or going sideways on slopes. I hope that if you are still reading this that you understand that my testimony comes with 31 years of buying mowers. Using them 6 days a week, year round in the Hot Florida Sun to cut all types of grasses and heights. Good-Luck with your purchase, You will be a very happy landscaper. Capri-diem, Robert V.
