Husky trimmer review.
I bought this trimmer around 5 months ago, because my weedeater brand was to lightweight to cut "Johnson Grass" which is growing in my ditch. It does a great job with the light yard work and has a changeable head for other attachments. It cut the tough johnson grass down with no problem. It is also sold at Lowes and usually goes on sale.
Husqvarna makes the best power equipment, in my opinion, and is affordable. I used to do landscaping, and the Husqvarna is the only trimmer that stayed out of the shop.

Dropped the ball
No doubt about it, this thing will trim just about anything around your house. But for the price, I expected it to be better engineered. I get the feeling that the people who design these products never use them.
First, the starting instructions don't match my trimmer ... so either I have outdated instructions, or new instructions for a product change that hasn't happened yet. That was easy enough to figure out.
But why do you put the spark plug on top of the engine, where the user's arm is most likely to naturally rest? And due to the clutch set-up in the head, you have to go virtually full throttle - otherwise the head has no cutting torque. That's horribly inefficient on fuel usage.
I bought this to replace my $89 Homelite that lasted me 17 years. I spent a lot more on the 223L, and got a lot less useful machine.

Best value out there in this price range
This is the lightest and most powerful trimmer I have ever owned. The engine is so stong and yet it feels like I can hold it with my pinky!!!. I use the trimmer weekly and it gets used for about 40 minutes everytime. Enough to go through almost a full tank of fuel. I love how easy it is to maneuver. I can edge and trim for long periods of time and my arms won't be sore when I'm done. This machine also runs very smooth. There is no vibration from the engine or cable. This trimmer starts up easy and just keeps running. The bump head is easy to load and it seems to hold allot of line. I like the foam air filter because you can just clean an oil it instead of throwing it out and buying a new one every couple of weeks. I really don't have anything bad to say about the product.

Great Handling trimmer
I've had this trimmer for over 3 years now and it still runs and starts like new. This trimmer will do anything you want it to do and not wear you out in the process. It's lightwieght and well balanced, it's easy to maintain and start. I will buy Husqvarna products for all of my OPE needs from now on.

223L Review
This product is light weight and very easy to handle for longer periods without causing muscle fatigue. The double string head helps make cutting much easier and with less effort and strain on the motor.

Great quality, very effective trimmer.
I have trimmed 6 times with this trimmer. The unit feels very durable, very easy to start. I find the bump trimmer head on this unit easy to use and the trimmer cable makes quick work when edging sidewalks and driveways. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

My first trimmer!
I was tired of waiting for my husband to do the trimming around our yard and 1/2 acre pond. So I bought a Husqvarna trimmer and told him he wasn't allowed to touch it! I have never, ever done the trimming and am so glad to have the best trimmer in our household. My husband walked out and saw how easy it was to start and I heard him oooo under his breath.
Needless to say I love it and he is still not allowed to touch my HUSQVARNA!
