HUSQVARNA YTH23V48

A twin-cylinder 23 hp Briggs & Stratton Intek engine and 48" triple-blade deck design are just two highlights of our most popular yard tractor. The YTH2348's pedal-controlled hydrostatic transmission easily maneuvers forward and backward. A simple pull of the button on the control panel engages the blades while an hour meter tracks the usage for future scheduled maintenance. 4 gauge wheels on the deck prevent scalping of grass in uneven terrain. Additional features include 6-position cutting height adjustment, 20" rear tires, 16" turning radius, and a comfortable 15" high back adjustable seat. A nose roller is also a great upgrade not found on similarly priced competitive models. Like our other tractors, the YTH2348 has a welded frame and cast-iron front axle for greater durability.

Serious Mowing Deck Problems We purchased a YHT2348 in June 2009. In July 2011 we had to get the left blade shaft+bearing unit replaced since the bearing appeared to be worn to the point where the whole mowing deck was shaking and sounded like a ball bearings in a tin can. It ran OK for a while, but we did not use the mower much in 2011 after the repair due to the severe drought in the Houston TX area. Now, in Feb 2012 the shaft/bearing housing for the right blade has the same problem making the mower un-usable. I do not want to spend more repair money on a piece of equipment with a faulty mowing deck design. This seems to be a problem with the 3-balde deck, since we had a Husqvarna 46" mower before with a 2 blade deck that did not have this recurring problem. February 5, 2012
My Husqvarna Got to use mine one (1) Short mowing season in Texas before the spot welding on the deck brackets broke loose. Now I am stuck with a big bill for repairs due to bad workmanship. Warranty expired........BUMMER!!!!!!! November 27, 2011
my 3rd husqvarna just purchased the yth2348 this week, my 3rd riding mower by husqvarna. have used it once, am disapointed. this website states it is less than the dealer's "on sale"price. the mower is slow, will take me all day to do my 2 acres of grass. it goes faster in reverse than it does in foward,,great feature husqvarna, what were you thinking!!! also bought the 3bag grasscatcher. catcher catches fine but cant empty it. top lid hits back of chair and wont stay in the open position. cant adjust chair, will be my last husqvarna. Ps. doubt if you publish this, that's ok. just wanted you to know. November 13, 2011
Somewhere Between Good and Excellent I have a 2.5 acre yard surrounded by woods, I also happen to live on a giant hill and in Michigan where weather can be brutal on a machine like this. Despite being a touch dirty, this tractor has performed admirably and aged well in the face of the elements and challenging terrain/obstacles. This is my third season with the YTH2348 and I couldn't be happier. The power is more-than-adequate, especially when mowing grass that still has the moisture from the dew. And at the MSRP, feature-to-feature, this easily beat out machines from Cub Cadet and John Deere. In rural America, there can be a bit of a mental battle saying, "I own a Husk-qua-varn-a" (over that other green/yellow brand) but let me tell you... it's well worth your time to work yourself over that mentality, check these machines out side-by-side and put one through the paces - it'll make a believer out of you. Great value This is the third tractor i have owned and so far it is the best. I have only had it for a short time but I can see it is well built, has plenty of power, and I love the hydrostatic transmission. it has a much shorter turning radius then I ever expected in a tractor. As for now I would highly recommend this brand to others. October 26, 2011
16acres This tractor is sound in everyway. Works great. My only complaints are the blades became very dull very fast, and the fuel cap. For some reason the cap doesn't fit right and if tightened to much it will restrict the fuel causing the tractor to stall. Other than these few complaints the tractor is awesome. Thanks, Tim October 23, 2011
Overall good value Pros: Plenty of power Turning radius is great Comfortable Metal Hood Husqvarna version seems to have most bang for the buck Cons: Motor has noise at idle and only runs smooth at higher RPM Battery strap cracking looks 10yrs old Tires show cracking Steering sqeaks at a certain position Noticed several new models with cracked seats from the rain still at the store Easy to bump ignition switch with your knee killing the motor Impossible to see how much fuel is in the tank with gauge Overall: Happy with mower for the price. Runs strong and gets the job done quickly. Hydrostatic is nice and it is comfortable to ride. October 19, 2011
Tractor newbie overwhelmed with performance! After years of pushing a 21" push mower, I finally bought a riding mower from Husqvarna! I cannot complain about the product! Even cut. Ease of use. Straight forward design! I do not live on a slope, so the power is what I need around my large amount of grass on my property. I changed the three standards blades with Gator Mulching blades I purchased from an online specialty store. They work great, shredding everything into small enough pieces either for the lawn or to decompose in my compost bins! Additionally, I bought the mulching package and three bagger system (for composting)! They all work great. October 17, 2011
