The best saw I've owned so far
I heat primarily with wood and in during our cold South Dakota winters I cut and burn quite a bit of wood. My new 435 started on the fourth pull on a cold start, the second pull on next tank of gas and the first pull on the next tank. I cut mostly Ash, Box Elder and Cottonwood. The 435 handled great and in just a few hours I cut so much wood it took me two days to haul it all out. This saw is a definite step up in quality from the other two chainsaws I have owned.

Easy to start
Over the years I have used many different brands of saws from Stihl to Poulan and most in between. I have always found those saws hard to start in cold weather. After my Poulan laid down on me, a friend suggested I buy a Husqavara. This has to be the easiest starting saw I have ever used, even on the coldest of days. In addition to being easy to start, it is well balanced, does not vibrate and is very fuel efficient. If I ever wear out this saw, I will buy another one just like it.

Great small saw!
I got the 435 mainly for limbing/blowdowns/storm cleanup. I've got to say that I'm very impressed with this little saw.
The carburetor adjustments were spot on right out of the box. It 2 strokes in the cut, and 4 strokes out of the cut at WOT like any saw should that is tuned correctly.
I have heard that the strato engines take longer to break in; It definitely gets stronger after a few tanks of mix. I must say that the fuel "mileage" with the strato engine is impressive. With that said, this saw screams! I wouldn't be surprised if it runs 15k RPM.
Another surprise is the stock chain. Its really a good quality chain. I was fully expecting a useless safety chain, but this thing is no joke. The only thing I did was kive it a quick file on the rakers since I mainly cut pine. I did link a youtube video of mine, and it is with the saw cutting oak. The rakers are probably too aggressive for oak, but I think it did just fine.

Great Saw!
Once you have the starting sequence mastered correctly, this saw starts easily, runs smoothly, and handles and cuts well. It has met all my expectations.
