great for the$ I have always wanted to try a Husqvarna and now that I am older and my larger saw are becoming a task, I tried this smaller lightweight saw, now I use were ever I can and really put it hard use and I just keeps going September 4, 2011
Poor little saw I work on a lot of saws and fiured its only fair to warn people away from this saw... I have yet to see a 338xpt that can go the distance. The power is awesome and may be more powerfull than the best of the other brand so i hope husqvarna simplifys the designe and makes a reliable version. (Note to husqvarna: get rid of the auto decomp valve and improve the starter assembly to start.) Ps: the 55 is one of the best saws ever made and i really admire husqvarna. August 10, 2011
awsome but pricey Nothing against Husqvarna I have 3 of their saws but when I looked at the 338xpt it was quite expensive for a small saw so I checked around and found out that the Jonsered CS 2139T was the exact same saw but only red and black (husky makes jonsered btw) and was selling for $425 so I picked one up and saved about $80. Sorry Husky I try to stay loyal but $$ is tight these days. At least its not a Stihl July 22, 2011
Best top Saw made Period This thing is awesome. I am a small bussines owner and a 2 cnd generation timber man & tree service guy. I have operated every name brand of saw on the market & this 338xpt is by far the best made. Cranks right up, has plenty of power @ all RPM ranges low-mid-high. Light wieght, dispences oil on the guide bar fine, gets good fuel usage, and last along time. Praise to the Husqvarna 338xp-t ! ! ! June 17, 2011
Outstanding ability to tackle the work Spring storms brought the realization I needed a good tool to handle the downed trees and debris on my property. This chainsaw proved to be just the right choice - light enough for this old man to handle, powerful enough to tackle the work. Thanks Husqvarna. June 1, 2011
Nice Gift This is a good utility saw. Low vibration, but does seem to leak a little bar oil at first. May 20, 2011
Gods gift to man I buy several chain saws at my job and this one is the best,I have 5 saws ,4 weed eaters,1 blower and everyone of them are dependable, and the performance is great.I have 3 rancher 55,a 365 ,338 and I am very happy and would recommend to all.I had a chance to use a 50 inch zero turn and would like to buy one for work and for home.Once you use a Husqvarna use never go back.I have a Stihl chain saws and 6 weed eaters and they do not compare to your product.
