Chain oiler
Upon first using the saw the chain oiler did not work. I used the Husqvarna bar and chain oil. Off to the shop tomorrow for repairs. Not what I would expect from a new saw. Other than that the saw starts easily and appears to have enough power for what I need

Once it was fixed, it worked well
When I first got this saw, it would die anytime I set it down between cuts. I took it back to dealer and they adjusted idle. That helped some but it would still die when accelerating so when I set it down between cuts it would run OK until I picked it up and squeezed on the accelerator. Took it back again and they kept it a day and ran it longer and made some carburetor adjustments. This helped some, but didn't totally solve the problem. Took it back a third time and they replaced the carburetor. So far, in two uses, that seems to have solved the problem. I really like everything else about this chairsaw.

Key feature here is "Value".
This 240e has replaced a 12 year-old Husky model 36, which performed admirably over its lifetime. Cost was well under $300 and I'm cutting 14" maple from logger's cords.
The only complaint I have is that I can't just give it full throttle and cut because it will bog down. I've become comfortable with throttling as high as it takes to produce maximum power and rpms. It becomes second nature.
Great value!

Broken On Arrival
Waited so long to get this chainsaw. Then, on delivery, started right up nicely but noticed right away that chain oiler not working. Off to shop for repair. Picked up saw, back to work. Saw won't start. Went to adjust chain and chain adjuster frozen and will not move. Off to shop to get repaired AGAIN. Sitting on my work bench now. I'm almost afraid to use it.

240e series chain saw
this saw has been one of my best purchase in a long time. this saw has plenty of power but still light to handle. also this saw workes with very little vibration. the chain adjuster works easy so there is no need for any tools. this is 10 in my book. good job husqvarna on a well built saw

Good Power and Reliability for the Price
I bought this chainsaw to cut up a fallen tree limbs up to 9" in diameter. It had good power. The chain tension was easy to adjust. I thought it did a pretty good job.

Better than a Woodchuck
I have had the saw for over a month I have worked the heck out of it . we have a problem with bores in our trees trying to get all the dead out of the trees. I broke my back twice so the weight is what brought me to this saw I would start it about 8:00 am only shut it down to refule and cut steady till 6:00 pm. it never missed a beat .starts easy if you follow the guide. no problems at all. this is really a very good saw .thanks Husqvarna for a good product.

Bad First Usage Experience
I purchased this saw over 3 months ago and finally got around to using if for the first time. The initial setup instructions were poor to almost non-existant. In fact the entire Operator's manual is very poor. Placing a whole bunch of small pictures on the first pages, makes it very difficult to understand what the picture is attempting to show.
The instructions for removing the 'clutch cover' are poor. I never did understand that the 'chain brake' had to be disengaged in order to remove the clutch cover. Even with the brake set correctly, the clutch cover still doesn't come off and go back on easily. It is a struggle getting everything lined up. I would expect this part to be able to be removed easily, as there is always a need to get into this area.
One of the key reasons I purchased this saw, was because of its advertised 'easy start'. I found that not to be the case. I had to continiousily mess with the throttle and pull 5-10 times on the starter cord, just to get the saw started. This is not what I expected from a new saw.
