poor saw typical of new electronics
I purchased this saw 7 months ago which is one month after the warranty expired and the auto tune part went out , I am now having A hard time finding the part to fix it not to mention I just payed good money for A saw that only lasted 7 months. saw does have good power and if the auto tune stuff got worked out I would probably recomend the saw. can I get A manual adjust carb for it ???

Good saw when it runs
I have had this saw a few months and now I can't keep it running. Dealer has had it once and it is back again. On warm starts the saw floods out and gas comes out the exhaust. After only 40 cord of wood I would not think a 1000.00 saw would even flinch. The old saw we replace was a 455 rancher that won't die. The 576xp has tons of power and when it runs I love when it won't I hate it.

Chain saw
We have purchased about ten saws in the last three years. They do get rough use. I have had ignition problems on four saws that were covered under warranty. The newest saw starts hard, have to pull 6 or 7 times to start.

Sthil saw user for 20 year converted
i bought my 576 3 days ago and dont ever see my self using another saw ever its hands down the finest saw i've ever used .i have all ways ran stihl 460 for every thing but my cousin had been singing your praise's for year since he had the 372 xp demo for him back when he was cutting for columbia .smooth starting wonderful power through out the throttle .first tree i took down with it was a willow that was bout 5 foot on the butt and it was a dream to run the anti vibe tech has done away with my forarm pump issues that i have developed over the years . i just cant say enuff bout the 576 just wished i had listen to my cousin sooner . hat's off to you guys for producing a saw that really meet all my needs .

Incredible Saw
Though not "professional" in the strick sense of the word I have used Husky chain saws extensively for the past 12 years. I started with the Husky 51 then upgraded the the 257 model. I used this model to build my own log house which included alot of slabbing with the saw for my timber framed second story. I then used the 257 to cut four full truck loads of firewood.
Last year I purchased the 576 srictly as a saw for cutting firewood. The trade off is that I get alot more power with a little extra weight. The saw seems a bit quiter as well. Its a real pleasure to use. The only draw back is that it is a little tough to start on cold winter days. Once warmed up, it purrs like a kitten.
By the way, I still use my old 257.
