Lightweight saw, Heavyweight Cutting Power Steadily GLIDES through oak logs without losing power. Just let the saw do the cutting at its own extremely high revving pace. And you better pay close attention, as you should with any chainsaw, but with this one, before you know it, your cut is done! The difference in performance and quality between a homeowner saw found in chain store retailers, and this Husqvarna XP pro saw beast is like night and day. The magnesium crank case is a great feature because the magnesium dissipates heat from the engine far better than any plastic could ever do. This saw makes fun out of limbing, tree felling, and logging firewood. If you're looking for an all around saw that can also cut small to mid sized trees, you'll love this one. I know I do. Engine sounds amazing too. This saw is addictive. September 11, 2011
One Nasty Little Saw I'm a certified arborist who owns 7 saws. This saw is by far my favorite. It has incredible power and speed for a small, compact saw. Husqvarna hit the nail right on the head with this one. It's great for cutting small trees, brush and limbing. August 27, 2011
Awsome Saw I have had a 350 for years and love the saw but wanted one with more power that was still about the same weight as my 350. I chose the 346XP and couldn't be happier. The 346XP has a magnesium crankcase instead of plastic like the 350 which means it will take more abuse and it noticeably out cuts my 350. For anyone wanting to run a 16 to 18" bar this is the Ideal saw! August 22, 2011
"Great things do come in small packages" I recently purchased the 346 xp. I had bought a 350 husky ten years ealrier. When i brought the 350 in for service where i bought my saw the mechanic remarked how i should have gotten the 346xp. A little late now. Well ten years later. I got the saw "i should have gotten". My 350 served me well for ten years. I sold it for almost as much as i paid. I burn between 6-8 cords a year. The 346 xp is a beast. It is lighter, faster, more powerful, and all in all just wicked. This saw does not bog down in the middle of the cut and finishes a tank of gas as strong as it did when it was full. July 15, 2011

Power, power, power I'm a professional arborist, and have used husqvarna xp saws exclusively for years. I love the high power, low vibration, long lasting saws that make up the xp line. I just bought a new 346xp yesterday and figured that everyone should know how good these xp series saws are. June 18, 2011
346 xp vs anything matching size avalible on the market I purchased my 346xp saw on 5/24/2011. From the first time I pulled it and put it to hardwood I fell in love with it. I would match this 50cc chainsaw up against any 50cc saw on the US market bar none. On a scale of 1-10 I would give this saw a 9 all day long. I have been in the timber, tree, and firewood business my whole life. I have operated every name brand saw availble. I am a very picky or hard to please person when it comes to tools. I say all that to say this.If this saw pleases me it is sure to be well for and I mean well for others. 346xp one heck of a saw!!! June 17, 2011
One AWESOME saw In March 2011 my wife and I shopped for a new chain saw since my 25 year old saw finally bit the dust. We looked at various brands at a local small engine equipment store. I didn't seem to find anything that interested me until we walked over to the Husqvarna exhibit. My wife immediately saw my eyes light up when the salesman introduced me to the Husqvarna line. She knew I was going to buy one of those chain saws. The salesman matched me to a 346 XP based on the amount of firewood we cut and how much wood we burned. The following weekend we cut and split 3 oak trees into 3 pickup loads of firewood. The 346 XP was a joy to use. The saw is light weight, very powerful and a capable machine for my needs.
