My favorite saw I would recommend this chain saw to anyone who wants a all around awesome product that won't let you down. Husqvarna Power! April 19, 2011
huge upgrade I previuosly has a model 55. Even though it is a smaller saw it can cut almost twice as fast as the 55. Little to no vibration and 2 lbs. lighter. Pay the extra and pick up the XP models. April 15, 2011
346XP is a screamer I own many Husqvarna chainsaws and have been sawing for years. I cut my own firewood and supply myself and my parents and the occasional friend or other family member chainsaw cutting services. I have saws ranging from a mid/late 90's model 51 to an older 268XP as well as some more modern saws (359 and 365 Special). I'm very familiar with how a saw should operate under ideal conditions. I recently picked up a used 346XP for limbing downed trees and cutting up smaller firewood (average 16"-18"). This has become on it's first outing my most favorite chainsaw. It revs so high that it cuts much faster than my other saws. It is light weight, easy to handle and obviously made for professional use. If I were limited to selling off all of my chainsaws and keeping just two (one for bigger wood and one for everything else), I would choose the 365 Special and the 346XP. If you can afford one, you won't regret either purchase. Quality is built into each of these saws. Just watch your cuts as this saw will cut so fast that sometimes you'll be in a pinch before you can pull out. It takes a little getting used to. March 17, 2011
Perfectly sized machine I cut wood year-round in Minnesota's north woods. I am a homeowner and use the firewood to heat the home for the colder months. I was not happy with my previous brand of saw and decided to go with one of Husky's premium-professional models. This was a good move. For a saw under $500 dollars I got super performance in all aspects. The bar stays cool. The saw cuts and cuts and never breaks down. All adjustments are easy to use and the power is quick and plentiful. I do not have near the problems I used to with other saws. Power is great while the saw is light and handy. Six cord of wood per season with one saw and one man is all I need. March 9, 2011
346 xp Have learned to depend on the name Husqvarna products. I saw wood to clean up the farm around fields and dead trees. I have tried the Craftman brand of saws, poulan, and no one makes a saw that is user friendly in my work around the farm. I fully recommend Husquarna products. February 27, 2011
346xp small saw big performance I have been cutting hardwood for firewood and apruce and fir for pulp and this saw outperforms larger saws I've owned previously. February 25, 2011
does the job well Great all around saw for my needs, just a little hard to get started. February 24, 2011
346 XP chain saw I bought my 346xp with 18" bar three months ago. I have used it to fell and block off at least a dozen trees ( anywhere from 6" to 18" in diameter). It's a wonderful saw with plenty of power. It very light and easy on the back. I will use it to cut at at least 15 face cord of fire wood a year. I'm very happy with how easy it is to start. I have had a 238 husky with a 16" bar since 1991. It is also a great saw but does not start as easy as the 346xp with it's dicompression value. February 24, 2011
