HUSQVARNA 460 Rancher 4.7 5 201 201
Quick start even in cold weather I purchased a Husqvarna 460Rancher chainsaw with a 20” bar about a year and half ago (7/09). I have been very pleased with the performance. It cut 20” logs easily with good balance and is a quick start even in cold weather. I have 10 acres of wooded land that require clean up of downed trees for fire wood. I also turn bowls, thus this saw has been very good at prepping bowl blanks from green wood. I highly recommend this saw having used several chain saws over the past 40 years. February 25, 2011
Best Saw I've Owned This saw does everything I have asked, a little heavy and big for doing work in a tree for a long period of time, but with the power and 20"bar you really should use a smaller saw anyway. I would like to see a slightly larger fuel and oil resivoir, but it is a great saw. February 25, 2011
Great Saw for the Working man! This saw is great if you are like me, a working father who needs good quality tools and affordable prices. As a homeowner this saw gets put through the ringer, and has never missed a beat. I have a fireplace, so cutting fuel wood for my family is a must! Then everyday tasks like trimming trees, cutting fallen branches, and cutting railroad ties are a common job for this saw. Has done me great, lots of power, feels strong in your hand, and easy to maintenance. This saw is very comparable to the Stihl Farmboss, but having used them both i prefer this saw over that one. This saw feels more durable, and to me seems to have a better more controllable power band. If your looking for a great all around saw that will meet the challanges of hardwork in a non logging environment, then this saw will do you great! February 25, 2011
Racher Chain Saw Since Purchase I have cut out 16, 80 ft trees, hardwood and pine, The saw has all the power needed. It is well balanced and I am able to use it all day, at 66 years old, that is one good saw. February 25, 2011
Great Saw, Lots of Power Great Saw, Lots of power, Traded my Stihl MS290 for this 460 Rancher and have no regrets!! February 24, 2011
Good saw I have run Husqvarna for many years. We still use wood for heating in Montana. Old one still works well. Just wanted a back up with a little more power. It is nice to see a product of consistent quality. February 24, 2011
Power and Performance This saw is a great upgrade to the 455. It has a slightly larger engine, and you can tell when felling of bucking the difference. It slices through green wood like a warm knife through butter. Great saw. February 24, 2011
Great saw, versatile, easy to adjust and use. Have had this 460 Rancher for over a year now ( my old Husky after 25 years of good service finally give up the ghost) and enjoy the light weight and balance which at the end of a fair amount of time behind it makes your arms and shoulder's not so sore. Has the same quality and ease of adjustments as my old Husky, but a bit more power for trees 4ft across and up. Except for the usual wear items, starting rope, bar, tip if you use it like is meant to be used well worth the money. February 24, 2011
