Chainsaw works as stated This saw starts every time, even after setting all summer. It has lots of power for everything I have cut. It is the best chainsaw that I have owned. February 23, 2011
This is a serious chainsaw I found this to be by far the best chainsaw I've ever used. I have 3 chainsaws, but this is my favorite. It has plenty of power, is easy to handle, economical, and easy to service. I'm going to sell my Craftsman and McCulloch models. February 23, 2011
This has been the best cahainsaw I have owned so far. I have hundreds of trees on my land and often have to clear blow downs and dead fall. This saw does a great job on all of them. February 23, 2011
Good saw The saw is reliable and seems well built. I can easily find chains at local stores. I would like to have a little more power though. It feels as if it is being a little restrained. I have heard that this is due to the restrictive muffler. February 23, 2011
Rancher 455 I had hundreds to trees to saw after buying a house 2 years ago and have used the 455 Rancher to do it. Mine came with a 20 inch bar and I needed a longer bar for sawing stumps so I got a 24 inch baar for it. The 455 has plenty enough power for the longer 24 inch bar and I have lots of stumps to prove it. This is an excellent saw. February 23, 2011
This is the second 455 I purchased. My first one was stolen. I purchased it because Hurricane Ike had taken down over a dozen trees of all types on our property and we needed a chainsaw to clean up the place. It worked flawlessly to cut up all the downed trees. Stared everytime as long as you followed the directions. I ended up loosing one of the nuts that hold the bar on. It was stolen that weekend so I just replaced the entire saw as I didn't want to be without a chainsaw when the next tree came down. We use it at least once a month to cut up firewood from fallen limbs, and trees. My friend gave me grief about it being a "plastic" saw but then after he used it he went out and bought exactly the same saw... I gave it a "good" rating on durability because of the lost nut. I wish there were metal bushings in the plastic so I could really crank down on the nuts without worrying about breaking plastic. February 23, 2011
Works great This chain saw was a christmas gift. It is easy to start and use. The grip is very comfortable and makes it easy on your wrists. The chain saw is also lighter than others I have used which makes it great when using it all day. The only negative would be when changing the chain it was hard getting cover back on because because the brake tripped. February 23, 2011
This Product loves to work Recently Purchased the 455 Rancher for home use and using at the deer lease. I can not be more please. Has taken down some really good sized trees with ease. When all the other guys on the deer lease are trying to get there saws cranked up the 455 is already tearing thru the logs. February 23, 2011
