Would purchase again What can I say, I am just happy with the product. The compression release during starting is wonderful. The vibration dampening is awesome for a long day of work. I use this model at home and also during wildland firefighting for the last couple years. If I could ask for one thing, I would just want a built in spot to store the T-Tool. February 24, 2011
Getting the job done This saw is serving it's purpose very well. it is a little heavy for trimming and clearing, but work well for wood cutting. February 24, 2011
455 rancher This is an awesome saw, I bought it to replace an older model 51. I have cut trees that are 48" across the stump, there is no lack of power. My only concern is that the original chain and bars don't last very long. I have went with the oregon bar and chain, other than that I would recommend it to anyone that has used a chainsaw before. This Chainsaw KICKS BUTT!! In a word, this chainsaw kicks butt!!! I own 5 acres and periodically need to trim and cut down trees, and this saw really makes short work of these types of chores. Also, we heat our home with a wood stove, which means cutting firewood... LOTS of firewood. Since purchasing this saw, I have spent less time cutting firewood, and more time sipping lemonade! The only downside to this saw is that after using it for a while, it can become heavy in your hands, but considering the raw, unrestrained power at your fingertips, it is definitely a worthwhile trade off. Also, one word of warning.... due to the power of this saw, smaller branches have flipped back up and hit me in various "tender" places, so try and use this saw for larger diameter wood and not small branches when cutting up firewood!! Amazing Saw My Family loves to cut firewood together and make a family event out of it. Using our Husky saws helps us to quickly make short work of the wood we cut and makes it possible for us to enjoy our time together loading and cutting wood, rather than maintaining our saws and wasting time. The torque and power of our Husqvarna saws are amazing and we wouldn't even attempt to cut with anything other than a Husqvarna saw. We got to our wood cutting spot once and some other guys were there and had given up cutting because they said their saws couln't cut the downed brush. My dad and I fired up our Husqvarna saws and made short work of that wood. Those other guys were amazed at our saws and instantly realized they were using inferior equipment. February 24, 2011
Foster Farm I own a 20 acre farm and have been trimming and clearing trees to fence the property. Although it is still practially new, it has worked faullessly. Easy to start, use and performs very well. My brother owns a stihl and my rancher out performs it every time. Kudos HUSQVARNA... February 24, 2011
great for the cost I have this with the 20" bar & chain for firewood. I dropped around 200 trees with no problems. Just keep the chain sharp and it rips. Great for homeowner/farm use without spending $700. I bought the better bar and chain because from tractor supply it comes with the smaller guage bar and chain February 24, 2011
Chainsaw After years of using other chainsaws I decided to try a Husqvarna. Jobs that I would struggle thru became a breeze. Not only was the job easier but it took a lot less time to complete. It was $200.00 more than any other chainsaw I have owned; however, had I bought it first I would have saved the purchase price of two other chainsaws. February 24, 2011
