This product is very reliable.
This saw starts very easy compared to others I have owned. Even after sitting all summer long, I get it out in the fall and fuel it up, pull no more than four times and it starts.

Great Saw!
The power to weight ratio of the new saws are incredible. This saw is capable of of falling large trees with the lightweight manueverability of a smaller saw. We cut several cords of hardwoods in the summer to prepare for winter and this saw handles the task with ease. Oak is no problem and this saw literally eats up soft woods like pine and cedar.

Absolutely love this saw
This is my first Chainsaw purchase and I went with Husqvarna because of past experience, my brother used to cut wood for a living and that is what he used. Stihl was also a saw that I looked at but the "no-tool" chain adjustment sold me on the Husqvarna and I'm glad I purchased it, I can change out a chain before others can simply adjust there chains. Five star's, a+++

My Husqvarna Experience
I purchased my first Husqvarna chainsaw second-hand from my father who had bought it several years earlier. It was a 254 SE. I have now owned it for several years and it still runs great and still has lots of power.
Two years ago, a local distributor went out of business and offered me a 455e Rancher EPA 11 for a reasonable price, so I could not turn the offer down. The new technology for starting took a bit of getting used to (I'm from "the old school") but now that I have adhered to the very simple instructions in the manual it is no problem.
Husqvarna chain saws are of excellent quality and are worth every penny. I cannot see myself buying a lesser quality saw just to save a couple dollars.

I love this saw
I have no issue with this saw, but wish I had one with a longer bar at times. I am looking to see what to get, because I cut for firewood, and i have run into large trees.
Is there a psossibility for occasions to get a longer bar and still have the power?

Good so far
Although I've only cut 2 cords of wood, this saw started fine and performed well at 9500' elevation to cut down about 20 8" caliper pine trees and saw them to 8' lenghts. At home, 6400' elevation, my saw performed like a champ. I've used lots of Husqvarna products in the construction industry and they have performed as expected or better

455 Rancher: One tough saw...
Whether cutting 24" pines with a 20" bar all day for firewood, zipping 20" lodgepoles for mantles or cutting submersed logs to clear a river channel on snarled rivers, this saw doesn't quit. You take care of it, and it more than takes care of you...
One of my best investments, ever!
This saw was made for Montana.

Hardy Machine
The Rancher e-series is an easy to handle and lighter version. But it is tough. My son-in-law used it one afternoon to chop down 2-3 good size pines and chop them up. It still was working strong and all it needed was its chain sharpened. It has been used a lot in a short period of time and still going stong.
