455 rancher I bought the 455 rancher when huricane ike blew in the houston area. I never used it till this week.The engine is super strong but i have had lots of trouble with the chain,bar and kick back brake.I had to disconnect the kick back brake because it would drag on chain.. The chain quality is poor as well as the bar..Ive had to file guides on chain twice because somehow they become out of square..i would not recommend this product..I have 3 hrs of run time on this machine...I have had to work on it two hours... Great all around saw my saw eats trees and excretes excellence. The 455 tool-less lets me switch out chains or clean out the sprocket and have it back together and cutting in under five minutes. The 455 is a great mid-range saw because it can support an aggressive chain for felling big timber, but can also take a small bar and chain for when I need to climb and top out a tree. March 4, 2011
This product is simply marvelous. I really like my chainsaw! It performs well and gets the job done. It handles easily and operates with ease. I have only had one time that the chain came loose, but it was simple to aline again. March 2, 2011
455 rancher I have worn out over a dozen chainsaws in the last 20 years and never owned a better one for use around the house.It starts consistently on the first or second pull and has never bogged down on me ,even when i use it on large bole trees.Now if only someone would invent a chain that never dulled this would be a perfect home use chainsaw March 2, 2011
