HUSQVARNA 435 4.3 5 259 259
This saw would cut better if it ran long enought to cut a limb I purchased this saw came home ad started up on second pull, started cutting 6 in limb above my head saw quit and would not start. Back in box it went and returned with saw # 2. It started up cut for 20 minutes and was done . tried to start next day and it was leaking oil and fuel . Back in the box again. I have a 455 that is a monster, will cut anything in my way but wanted small saw for limbs. the 435 is a saw that doesn't run long enough to see if it is any good. It is of no use to sit on shelf. If it would stay running long enough I assume it would cut wood. I have all Husqvarna power equipment and this was the last item I purchased. Even bought the fuel for extended warranty but returned saw . expensive fuel for nothing. I wanted a small chainsaw not a water faucet . I bought a Husqvarna to use not look pretty July 30, 2013
Its a Husky Aint used it yet. Purchased for "Hurricane Clean-up" and it looks as though I might get to use it shortly. Fueled it, Put Bar Oil in and it fired right off. Husky produces some fine products as I own a few. When needed I'm sure this saw will not dissappoint. July 27, 2013
Great little saw - hard to start when warm We bought this saw at Lowes following a major storm which took down some trees. After running for about an hour, it wouldn't start - even after 50 pulls. Letting it rest overnight (in case it was flooded# didn't make a difference. We exchanged it at Lowes for another one, but it had the same issue after running for a while #even with Husqvarna fuel). We called the support number and they suggested bringing it to a local dealer. The local dealer finally got it running and adjusted it. When it was running, it cut through trees and limbs like butter. We've always had good luck with Husqvarna equipment, so maybe we just got a bad batch. July 23, 2013
Great - when it will start I bought one of these from Lowes. It came with oil mix for fuel, but no bar oil - so make sure you pick up bar oil before you check out. It was hard to start but cut through my downed trees like butter. After running for about an hour, we took a break for lunch. After lunch, it refused to start. I must have pulled 50 times. Then my wife pulled, then my teenager. We followed every direction in the manual with no result. We let it rest overnight and tried again the next day - still nothing. We returned it to Lowes and got another one. I even bought the Husqvarna fuel to be on the ultra-safe side. Started right up and almost finished my job when it wouldn't start again. I called the Husqvarna help line. Absolutely no help. I was looking for how to adjust the carb, or anything else that might get it to start. There was a big piece of paper that said "DO NOT RETURN TO STORE" and instead call. I ignored it the previous day, but decided to call this time. Useless. All the woman could tell me was to bring it to a local dealer for adjustment. We took it to the dealer and they finally got it going after 40+ pulls. They adjusted it, we got it home and finished up the job. Haven't tried it since, but was thoroughly unimpressed by its reliability out of the box. Great little saw - when it runs. It's that last part that's tricky. July 23, 2013
From a guy in the tree service industry. Coming from someone with much experience in the landscaping/tree service field, I'm quite pleased with this saw. For professional work I would surely use something more rugged but, for the homeowner this machine exceeds its "small saw" reputation. I bought this chainsaw simply to cut firewood at home but I was so impressed by the raw power and response time that I found myself felling mid-size trees with this little scream machine! A must have for the homeowner. July 23, 2013
good chainsaw with a leaky problem Great chain saw, plenty of cutting power, hardwood is a breeze. only draw back i have is it leaks bar oil out the bottom and runs down the bar while stored, only used it two times since i purchased it. July 20, 2013
Great cutting ability This chainsaw has what I needed in a professional style, mid-priced model. It cuts through hardwood with ease and is easy to handle with its relative light weight. The only things I could say negative about this saw is its propensity to stall when releasing the throttle from high RPM and the small handhold (difficult to get your foot in to steady the saw while starting). I have to slowly drop RPM then release the throttle to not stall. Raising the idle speed appears to help, but not solve the problem. After using it several times I am used to throttling down before releasing. July 10, 2013
Great Value I'm not a logger, I'm not a professional, but I do heat 2 homes with wood and have owned 8 chainsaws over the years. I cut A LOT of wood.... AT LEAST 5 "true cords" a year. This saw is top shelf. I bought this saw to replace a smaller 10 year old Husky 135. This makes the 3rd Husqvarna I have owned over my 50 years of heating with wood and I have loved them all. It starts great cold... it starts great warm. I must confess that I'm a "manual reading junkie" and by following the starting suggestions I find it hard to believe some people are having problems starting them. I dropped and limbed several moderate sized pine and spruce trees with it yesterday right out of the box and will give it a workout on hardwood when I go to our other home in Northern Indiana. I have NO doubt it will excel! SUGGESTION: Spend an extra $10-15 and buy it from a Husqvarna Dealer instead of a big box store and you will get the extra little service, like a tweaking of the factory carb settings prior to sending it out the door. There's a reason I keep coming back to Husqvarna... Guess why! June 30, 2013
