A wonderful helmet that I used for mowing, chainsawing and several other tasks when I wanted ear protection and head safety. When the adjustable head strap broke, it turned this wonderful helmet into the same value as the sleeves in my vest. I am now looking into similar helmets wherein the mfr supports their equipment with replacement parts for their weakest links.

Worst instructions ever

About Me Novice
Comments about Helmet:
incredible how difficult to put together what should be a simple helmet. Instructions are worthless. Can't keep the mask from sliding down. Can't figure out how to attach the visor to the mask. Very frustrating.

About Me Do-It-Yourself
I used this helmet probably 40-60 hours over the course of the year. It's comfortable and worked well for my purposes (chainsaw and brushcutting), but the plastic helmet failed where the ear protection clicks into the helmet. This happened on both sides, so clearly an engineering/manufacturing defect.Otherwise, I liked this helmet. As others mentioned, it would be nice to buy replacement parts (the helmet in my case). I definitely feel the price should get you something that lasts at least 5-10 years of light use. The only other critique I have is that I'd prefer a slightly longer faceshield--I'd appreciate a little neck protection in the event something comes flying at my jugular vein.

Snapped adjustable strap FIX
Comments about Husqvarna Helmet:
The major downfall with this hat was the adjustable strap and it seems from the above reviews that this is a common issue. The strap tends to loosen during use and requires frequent tightening. The plastic clip can snap if you are not very careful and if it does the hat is useless. But DON'T go buying a new hat just yet...Firstly I tried gluing it back but it wasn't enough. Instead I glued it again and secured it with a picture hook (any small metal bracket will do) as you can see in the picture.I used a vice and a pliers to manipulate the clip get it to fit snugly around the strap. If the clip is closed too tightly around the strap once you've tightened it use a flat head screwdriver to lever it at the centre to give it enough space for the strap to fit through. It's achievable with some patience.Requires a little more persuasion to adjust the strap now but it's more secure and doesn't loosen during use.Try this method if it has happened to you... it just might save you buying a new hat!

No Replacement Parts!
from Vermontville, NY
I love this safely gear, but the connector for the face screen broke after less than 40 hours of use. I am in shock no replacement parts are available. Poor design and/or poor business plan on the companies part.

Poor adjustable suspension that broke
Good helmet but useless when the 6-point suspension that is adjustable breaks. For the cost you would think they would make a replacement.

Reliable Protective Gear
I bought this protective gear setup reluctantly knowing it was all plastic. I have to say I am pleasently suprised at how well it works and functions. Very good price for protecting your head, eyes and ears. I recomend this gear.
from Bishop Hill
I purchased this helmet to replace my Husqvarna helmet I purchased in the early 90's. I could no longer get replacement parts so I upgraded to this system. It broke where the visor/ear piece fits in the helmet in less than 1 week! I purchased a Stihl helmet at their dealership and its been fine for the last 6 months. I use Huskies but have a Stihl helmet now. To bad the improvements in the helmets since my last helmet just meant cheap and lightweight.
