The nationwide challenge launched earlier this year in key dealerships in all parts of the country. Entrants tested their skills and manoeuvrability around a course using a Husqvarna ride on mower. Successful entrants were then placed into a national draw to win a top of the range R15AWD complete with 103cm combi deck worth £5999.99!

On winning his prize, Mr Taylor who is an agricultural mechanic said,

“ I didn’t believe it at first. I never expected to win in a million years but this is fantastic. I have a fairly large garden and normally use a push mower, which is tiring work. Now with this I can get into all the corners. I have been coming to Steam and Moorland ever since it opened and was asked to try the Rider Challenge at their open day. I’m glad I did!”

The competition also involved a series of questions to which the winner responded:

1. What is the main characteristic of the Husqvarna Rider?

The unique manoeuvrability

2. Some models of Husqvarna Rider are equipped with all-wheel drive (AWD). What is the greatest advantage of AWD?

Improved accessibility on slippery and undulating surfaces.

3. What is the main advantage of the Rider’s front mounted cutting deck?

The excellent view of the cutting surface from the driver’s rear seat.

4. What did you enjoy most about the Rider?

Excellent manoeuvrability, good driving position and reasonably quiet.
