Starting the 23rd of September, the biannual three day championship for professional loggers will take place in Zargrab, Croatia. As an official sponsor of the World Logging Championship, Husqvarna is planning studiously to let all the participants using Husqvarna products get the best possible preparation for the competition.

As a part of the preparation, Husqvarna is hosting three training camps; one in Austria, one in Estonia and one in the Netherlands. On these events Husqvarna loggers will get to practice the disciplines, get expert advices and share hints and tips with each other. Participants from over 30 countries will attend the different four day events and the spirit of competition is at its peak.

- There is a lot of logging knowledge within the Husqvarna crew as well as the WLC participants. By sharpening the skills of every contestant using Husqvarna, we hope to see a Husqvarna chainsaw being held on top of the winner’s stand this year, says Sven-Erik Bengtsson, project manager at Husqvarna.

The World Logging Championship

The competition is divided into five disciplines, inspired by the same procedures as the professionals exercise in their everyday work: tree felling, fitting another chain, bucking by combined cuts, precision bucking and limbing. Every participant competes in all the five disciplines and gets rated both individually and as a national team. All national teams consist of three seniors and one junior. The loggers who compete have to use the same chainsaw throughout the whole competition and the choice of product is often based on what the participant is using professionally in his every day work. The majority of the Husqvarna competitors have chosen to use 576 XP and 372 XP, which are typical professional chainsaws because of their excellent performance.
