The aim of the Poleclimbing competition was to establish who could climb the 25m freestanding Douglas Fir poles with appropriate climbing aids in the fastest time.

Andy Eastaugh at Husqvarna comments, “The APF is the UK’s largest forestry exhibition which is the reason why we were eager to support it in all ways possible. The poleclimbing requires real courage, strength and skill and Husqvarna congratulates all participants for their brave sportsmanship.”

Also at the show was the launch of the T540 XP, the ultimate arborist saw. Live presentations of the T 540 XP® were given in the main Poleclimbing and on the demonstration site. A prize draw was held for the show duration and one winner was chosen on random selection. He has become the first owner in the UK of the model.
