The UK Noise Abatement Society, a charitable foundation focused on minimizing the noise level from various appliances, has recently presented the winners of an all-new award. The Quiet Mark acknowledges products that are especially easy on the ears, and amongst the first-ever recipients is the Husqvarna Automower®. Or rather, the entire fleet of Husqvarna robotic mowers.

Global Professional of the Year: Lucky winner Ben Anderson wins Limited Edition VW Amarok Truck

Professional forester, Ben Anderson of Warwickshire has won the Husqvarna Global Professional of the Year Global competition, scooping the £33,000 Limited Edition VW Amarok 4x4 Truck top prize. Runner up, Jonathan Latham from York is also a winner, taking home a Husqvarna 545 RXT Brush Cutter and over £300 worth of Husqvarna safety equipment.

Husqvarna Group congratulates World Logging Championship (WLC) gold and silver medallists Andres Olesk from Estonia and Jean-Michel Petitqueux from France. The majority of the medallists were equipped with professional chainsaws from Jonsered and Husqvarna.

Fastest climbers scurry to pole positions at APF

The highlight of this year’s APF International Forestry Exhibition in Cannock Chase was the World 25m Poleclimbing Championship finals. Matt Thomas was crowned World Champion 2010 with a speedy time of 10.13 seconds. The three day competition saw the following steely winners take home a total of £3000 in cash prizes and brand new Husqvarna chainsaws. The swift finalists times were: Patrick Hayes – Tree surgeon champion - 13.47 Alan Gallop – Best Veteran – 15.00 Fiona Crozier – Best Lady – 18.66 Matt Thomas – World Champion 2010 – 10.13

UK winner rides his way to an immaculate garden

Richard Taylor of Pickering, Yorkshire was awarded a prize possession Husqvarna R15AWD ride on mower following his win of the Husqvarna Rider Challenge. He entered the skill-based competition during the open day of his local garden specialist, Steam and Moorland Garden Centre in June.
