World Logging Championship

In September this year it is time for the World Logging Championship to be held in Zagreb, Croatia. World Logging Championship, also known as WLC, is the official international competition held for professional chainsaw users and Husqvarna is an official sponsor of the event. Many of the participants are users of Husqvarna chainsaws and Husqvarna will be present in Zagreb to support with expert coaching and product presentation.

The competition consists of five disciplines: tree felling, fitting another chain, bucking by combined cuts, precision bucking and limbing. Every participating nation gets to send a team, consisting of three senior contestants and one junior contestant. The same chainsaw has to be used throughout the whole competition. Points grade every discipline and the highest total score is considered the winner, both on an individual and a national team basis.

To prepare the Husqvarna participants in the best way, Husqvarna organizes three training camps prior to the WLC; one in Austria, one in Estonia and one in the Netherlands. On these training camps Husqvarna experts share tips and advices and all the participants get to sharpen their skills in the disciplines.

Everything about the WLC and the Husqvarna preparation can be followed on the Husqvarna WLC Blog where we will be sending live from the event.
