HUSQVARNA REVOLUTIONISES THE CHAINSAW MARKET WITH RADICAL REDUCTIONS IN FUEL CONSUMPTION AND EMISSIO

With up to 60 percent lower emissions and up to 20 percent lower fuel consumption – plus up to 10 percent increased power, the new Husqvarna 576XP chainsaw has everything it needs to be a market leader in professional forestry and tree care segment.

“With reduced emissions and fuel con¬sump¬tion, as well as improved ergo¬nomics and productivity-raising inno¬vations, the new Husqvarna 576XP is destined to be a big seller on the professional market.” That’s according to Ian Hay, Product Manager at Husqvarna Australia.

High torque
“The 576XP is ideal for heavier work in the forest, such as felling and thinning large trees, both coniferous and deciduous”, Ian explains.

Featuring Husqvarna’s patented X-TORQ engine technology, which provides high torque across a wide rpm range. “The X-TORQ engine will surprise users. The high torque means the saw performs better than you would expect. It gives you lots of power where you need it most, and that’s what users are asking for”, says Ian.

Two-stage scavenging system
However the most important innovation is something that users won’t discover until they have used the machine for a while. The X-TORQ engine features a two-stage scavenging system, which means that Husqvarna X-TORQ powered products easily meet and exceed the worlds most stringent environmental requirements.

“This technology is revolutionary. There’s no doubt that users will notice that emissions are reduced by up to 60 percent and fuel consumption by up to 20 percent. Both in terms of a better working environment, lower costs and a better bottom line”, Ian explains.

High productivity
The Husqvarna 576XP has been developed for demanding forestry workers who want maximum performance from their equipment in every situation.

The 576XP is packed with features including Smart Start features for easier starts, air injection ensure the saw runs longer betweeen filter changes, heavy-duty air filter, side-mounted chain tensioner for quick and easy adjustments, forged three-piece crankshaft and magnesium crankcase providing maximum durability for the toughest applications.

The 576XP ergonomics features are second to none, with an optimised saw body with no protruding parts, a smooth underside, improved handle design with comfort inserts for a more stable grip, rounded starter cover and well-protected controls all combine to make this saw exceptionally easy to handle.

“For a forestry worker it all comes down to productivity, no matter what the working conditions. And productivity is improved by better ergonomics and balance. The Husqvarna 576XP lives up to the requirements”, assures Ian.
